5 out of 5 stars One of the most readable pilots for the area   July 18, 2008

We have very much enjoyed this West Country pilot which gives good detail for pilotage as well as well written and interesting details of localities. Should definetly be on anyone's 'buy' list if cruising the west Country.

4 out of 5 stars The essential guide to West Country sailing!   February 6, 2002

Mark Fishwick's book has proved time and time again to be essential reading whilst trying to navigate the west country. I don't know how we would have managed many of the more difficult areas (like entering Dartmouth from the east) without it. Clear and precise, it makes an essential volume that is always in our cockpit.
In addition, it provides important information on each harbour in the area- describing the atmosphere, main landmarks and sites of interest.
Mark has a great comic style, and is clearly very knowledgeable about the areas he describes.
Essential reading.
