Arrived on schedule and is very informative. There's a large section on dinghy sailing which isn't what I thought I needed but it is informative and useful nonetheless. The remainder of the book is exactly what I needed and despite the DK label it is well written and easy to read or dip into for specific information. Well impressed and happy with would happily recommend it to others, particularly at this price.

This book is fairly comprehensive, going in to the aspects of sailing fairly well and covers many of the key elements in fairly clear steps. I found that you had to apply the guide alongside practice and it helped as a supportive reference.
My only criticism is that it does go in to ALL aspects of sailing, including Buying a Boat, what to wear etc. So for quite a thick manual, a large portion was not really of interest for your average holiday sailor etc.
In saying that, I found the manual very useful, easy to follow, good sections and clear diagrams that helped a complete starter understand the basics and then extend this to real help in improving. Be prepared for diving straight in with the terminology.

I used this book to introduce myself to sailing terminology & technique and I've been very pleased with the amount of information and illustrations included. Being a novice I wouldn't really know how suitable this book is for more advanced people but it serves my pretty well.
